The Torment of the Green Dot: Unspoken Words, Lost Connections.

In Messenger, beneath his profile picture, the green dot shines brightly, as it does beneath hers. Both have no courage to text first even if they are dying to talk or she doesn't feel the same as a guy. He opens her inbox, hoping to spill the overflow of his thoughts onto the screen, but alas, his fingers find no words to convey the depth within. Despite having a lot more on his mind to say, he had nothing to SMS. He could sense her response if he texts her. The rudeness, the anger, the ignorance she showed him last time he texted are stopping him to text again.

He types ," Hey, the ache of your absence consumes me with each passing day. I yearn for your presence, desperately pleading for reconciliation. We can fix this. Let's try harder." but But the courage to press that send button evades him. A wave of recollection crashes upon him, reminding him of her previous words: " I've lost my feelings for you, my heart has died because of you, I can't love now, so please don't keep sending me these kinda texts". He erases every words casting his phone aside and wipes away his tears.

Both of them used to stay in each other's inbox for hours till midnight, but now, both stay awake till midnight engaged in silent activities unknown to the other. He knows what he does but is unknown about what she does. This makes him overthink, cry and recall all nostalgic memories he had with her. The small green dot, which represents being online, turns into something evil, causing him inner suffering and slowly draining his energy day by day.
